Get ready to educate and empower yourself with new SACE online education for adults starting in May which is Sexual Violence Awareness Month in Alberta!

SACE believes that education is key to creating a world free from sexual violence, and we are committed to providing accessible and inclusive learning opportunities for all.

We are excited to launch a new, self-directed 30-day online course on Sexual Violence and the 2SLGBTQ+ Community. Through this program, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by the 2SLGBTQ+ community and learn how to be an ally and supporter.

Over the course of 30 days, participants will learn about sexual violence, queer history, queer trauma, and how to support 2SLGBTQ+ folks who have experienced sexual violence. Our course is self-directed, which means that you can complete the course on your own schedule and at your own pace. Whether you are a survivor, an ally, or simply interested in learning more, this course is for you.

A member of the SACE Public Education team will be available to answer any questions participants have as they engage with a mix of text, videos, web resources, and reflection questions throughout the course.

This course is available to start immediately on a sliding scale of $0 to $40 to make sure cost is not a barrier to signing up. We ask for those who are able to consider a contribution of $25. Proceeds will go directly towards funding SACE services.

Racism and Sexual Violence online course

SACE continues to offer our Racism and Sexual Violence online course.

The goal of the self-directed 30-day Racism and Sexual Violence course is to develop participants’ understanding of the deep connection between racism and sexual violence to empower individuals and communities to enact meaningful change. Participants will also learn how to provide support through an anti-racist perspective. You do not need existing knowledge of racism or sexual violence to take this course.
