Help shape the future of survivor support and sexual violence prevention in our community by joining the SACE Board of Directors.

The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE) is currently seeking passionate and community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors.

The SACE Board serves as the organization’s governing body and plays an important role in guiding the agency’s strategic direction and long-term impact. Responsibilities of the Board include approving the annual budget, setting policy direction, supporting the implementation of SACE’s Mission, Vision, and Core Beliefs, and hiring and overseeing the Chief Executive Officer.

Board members help strengthen and support SACE’s work in providing inclusive, professional services for individuals impacted by sexual violence. Their leadership contributes to the continued growth and sustainability of programs, education, advocacy, and survivor support across the community.

SACE welcomes applications from adults in good standing with the agency who are interested in contributing their skills, perspectives, and experience to the organization’s governance. The agency values diverse representation and encourages applications from people of all professional and personal backgrounds.

In particular, SACE encourages applications from individuals from traditionally underrepresented communities, including Black and Indigenous Peoples, racialized and visible minority communities, people identifying as 2SLGBTQ+, and people with disabilities.

At SACE, diversity and inclusion are central to the organization’s work and values. Building a Board that reflects the diversity of the community helps ensure that services, leadership, and decision-making remain informed, responsive, and inclusive.

Serving on the SACE Board of Directors is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while supporting an organization dedicated to ending sexual violence and supporting survivors.
