We strive to build a team that reflects the diversity of the community we work in and encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups such as women, members of racialized or visible minority communities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as LGBTQ2S+, and people with disabilities. If we can make this easier through accommodation in the recruitment process, please contact us at info@sace.ca.

Eligibility: We understand that clients who have accessed our services may want to work at SACE and ask that it has been at least two years since your last engagement with either counselling or Support and Information Line services before applying. It is important that your employment with SACE does not compromise your healing, or create an ethical dilemma regarding a dual relationship with your previous counsellor.

Support and Information Line training dates: The successful candidate will be asked to attend some sessions of the SACE Support and Information Line training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and some Saturdays, in September, October, and November 2026. The staff will be compensated for these training hours with time off in lieu (TOIL). Full training schedule will be available in August 2026.

Closing date: Open until filled.

Position start date: June 1, 2026, or as soon as reasonable after this date.

To apply: Interested candidates are asked to submit a cover letter outlining why they think they are the right candidate for this position, with a resume, and contact information of three (3) professional references including name, job title, phone number, and email address. Resumes submitted without a cover letter will not be considered.

Please send resume and cover letter to info@sace.ca, Attn: Selection Committee – Child and Youth Counsellor.

We thank all who apply; only those selected to be interviewed will be contacted.
